CHALLENGE: Craft a strap line for Disney’s Christmas campaign using ‘Global English’ for maximum impact across markets, while still delivering the magic that only Mickey and friends can bring during the holidays.

IDEA: From Our Family To Yours. The Disney phenomenon all began with Mickey. Decades later, his story is still being passed on to generation after generation, becoming a part of unique family stories all around the world. Originally crafted for a retail brief for Disney France in 2019, the sweet simplicity of the line was so well received by the European team, it was held back a year, and placed at the centre of the global Disney Christmas TV campaign. Telling the touching story of Lola while respectfully incorporating Filipino traditions into the poignant tale, the animation was the first of its kind for Disney’s marketing storytelling. Arriving during the strangest and loneliest of moderns times, against the backdrop of the pandemic, the message of the ad showed, once again, how Disney’s magical family of iconic characters and heart-warming stories can bring hope and joy to families all around the world.
