Lucy Lane is a freelance copywriter and brand experience specialist, who will now cease to speak in third person.

Blazing a trail in the world of commas and concepts, I’ve crafted Disney’s 2020 Christmas TV tagline, brought to life world-first immersive experiences for Clarins, AMEX and Microsoft, and served up some hearty food puns for Haagen Dazs and Just Eat. I come armed with 12 years’ experience across all media, but I’ve been in love with storytelling since forever. My own story took me from studying Beowulf and Barthes at the University of Leeds to landing my first writing gig live-tweeting for Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Tone change, indeed.

With concepts ranging from a Rebel Reunion Party for Star Wars to an electrified arcade for Jeep, I’m a firm believer in pushing the brief beyond the expected. But that doesn’t mean I shy away from a nitty gritty copy job. Email and in-app messages? Social captions? Short, snappy and written in a flash.
